Activity Logs help us keep track of all of our members' hard work, showing parents, the school, community members and our donors that we really are putting in the time to make a difference.

To log hours online, follow the link to create your account and begin to log hours on our webpage (please only create one account).

If you are having trouble logging hours or have any questions, please contact our wonderful Team Leader Suman.

Mentees leaving campus with their mentors after school must turn in a signed permission slip to the office that includes date, time, destination, and mode of transportation.

If mentors meet their mentees on the weekend and pick up the student directly from their parents, a permission slip is not required as long as time, destination, and mode of transportation are communicated.

Power School Access

PowerSchool gives you access to your students' schedule and grades, including how they did on individual assignments in each class.

Additional Opportunities for Mentors:

Volunteer in the Office: The YSP staff welcomes mentors to help plan events, create new projects, or simply drop by and lend a hand.

Teach: Cal students run after-school enrichment programs in Math and English. Click here to learn more.

Develop your own Programs: At YSP students are encouraged to be creative and come up with certain programs or events that they feel would benefit Willard students. Last year students led workshops on healthy eating, technology, self-esteem building, and taught Willard's first Honors Algebra Test Preparation class. Classes can be one-time events or ongoing, but all are welcome.

Be a Team Leader: If you're looking for a way to further involve yourself in the program, apply to be a team leader. Applications are accepted at the end of each school year. As a team leader, you will manage a group of mentors as well as facilitate meetings and lead special projects and events. Click here to learn more.

As part of mentoring, Cal students should take the time to check in with their mentees' teachers. This includes spending an hour in class each week.

Introduce yourself, and tell them who you are mentoring. Some helpful questions to ask include: if the mentee has any missing assignments, if they participate in class, and if there are any behavioral or other concerns you should be aware of. As always, please CC YouthSupportProgram@berkeley.net to keep us in the loop!
